OUR HISTORY

Hobnob, Inc. was founded in 2003 in Pittsburgh, PA. The company cut its teeth on highly competitive markets providing Managed Campus WiFi, Network Admission Control and Remote Access systems to universities.

Bootstrapping the company in a region with a highly risk-averse customer base and plenty of competition sharpened the company's focus on business fundamentals. Innovation, performance and customer service are Hobnob's core strengths.

At the end of 2006, we relocated operations to the heart of the Silicon Valley and refocused on mobile broadband routers and service. Hobnob turned profitable in 2007.

Our early experience in Pittsburgh helped us thrive during the Great Recession of 2008. Hobnob's revenues increased 70%, profitability was up 100% and we still spent more on R&D than in any year before. 2009 was a repeat of our success from 2008, including an expansion into the rail transit market with a sole-source contract and expansion into Europe and India. We are exceeding expectations again in 2010.
