The Hobnob Management, Monitoring and Reporting System captures critical information concerning the network, mobile and remote-location operating environment. Network managers rely on statistics collected through Hobnob for decision support.

The system collects real-time data for analysis or sharing with external third-party applications through a secure web API. The Hobnob Aggregated Service Router supports a vast number of USB, Serial and IP-based sensors and devices for rail applications, including the option of OBD II for autos or J1939 for heavy diesel engines.

These capabilities allow Hobnob customers to securely monitor in real-time from a remote NOC all aspects of their network and mobile operating environments. Hobnob customers can connect existing monitoring systems to the network. For example, a legacy on-board system that uses a low-bandwidth radio uplink to transmit data at limited intervals can be connected to the Hobnob network to enable real-time updates. Hobnob revitalizes legacy systems, increasing the value of past investments.

System managers can view information on a policy-controlled web portal in real-time or historically and receive alerts when specified conditions occur. Policy-based access control mechanisms allow the administrator to provide users with appropriate levels of access.

Real-time GPS data, remote diagnostic, and remote configuration capabilities are built into the architecture to ensure that mobile and far reaching deployments are tracked and manageable.
